Refried Beans

I'm excited about this months Q-PON, I love making homemade refried beans.  I already added these to my Q so I'll let you know how this recipe turns out when my beans come!!
Refried Beans

Refried Beans
Ingredients Instructions
½ c. bacon, diced
c. THRIVE™ Instant Pinto Beans
1 tbsp. THRIVE™ Chopped Onions
1 tsp. THRIVE™ Iodized Salt
1 tsp. all-purpose seasoning blend
1 tsp. granulated garlic
4 c. water
1 tbsp. lime juice
¼ c. THRIVE™ Shredded Cheddar Cheese (FD), reconstituted
In a 2-quart saucepan, brown the bacon and drain grease. Add all other ingredients except cheese to pan. Cook on low simmer for 20 minutes (for thicker beans, simmer longer or use less water). Add cheese. Puree mixture with a hand blender until reaches desired smoothness.
Serving Ideas: Top with THRIVE cheese and fresh cilantro for a side dish, or use in burritos or other Mexican favorites!
